Built from the plant floor
V2trace was built by a maintenance and controls engineer from paper and pulp and then automotive, who spent years keeping traceability systems alive after their vendors moved on.
V2trace watches the data itself. A commissioned feed that stops delivering raises an alert, even while every service looks healthy.
Each line keeps recording on its own zone server and syncs up exactly once when the link returns. Nothing to re-enter.
Serials are checked against each product’s format the moment they’re entered, so junk never becomes a unit.
Limits, rules and thresholds are set per plant at commissioning and adjusted by your people, not buried in code.
Three operating modes
Normal
Everything is connected. Every line’s results reach the plant server as they happen.
Autonomous
The plant server can’t be reached. Each zone keeps its lines running and recording on its own: scans, results and queue moves. Every record syncs up exactly once when the link returns.
Crisis
The zone server is down too. The operator panel takes over order scanning and badge login, and a person decides when to enter it.
What it does · 15 jobs, one platform
For any serial or lot: where it came from, every scan and recorded result along the way, at which station, and where it went.
Traceability and genealogy
Every serial and lot, with its assembly genealogy, traced from supplier receipt to shipped pallet.
Getting the data in
Results from 12 equipment protocols and 14 PLC export formats, recorded at the process where they happened.
Keeps running through outages
Scans, machine and inspection results, and work-in-progress queue moves are captured at each line’s own zone server, so a line keeps recording when the network or the plant server goes down.
Production and work in progress
Routings, work-in-process queues, a line log, and Andon calls from the floor.
Orders and fulfilment
Orders and scheduling through to shipping and returns, entered here or fed from your ERP.
Material lifecycle
Receiving, warehouse, staging and shipping, with holds that stop a shipment going out.
Quality
Holds, rework and scrap, investigations and corrective actions, audits, SPC, MSA, PFMEA and hand-entered inspection results.
Tool life
Tool definitions, the tool crib, life counting with warnings, and the product a failed tool touched.
Recipes and machine programs
Approved recipes and CNC programs delivered through the operator panel, with a record of exactly what was sent.
Alerting
Every service, device and data feed is watched. Problems reach people through Andon boards, overhead paging and signage.
Maintenance and assets
Work orders, the asset register and gauge calibration.
People
People, badges and roles, with permissions for every action. Training and safety records are next.
Integrations
ERP, HR, warehouse, maintenance and fire-panel systems connect through V2trace’s own APIs.
Corporate view
One read-only view across many plants. Production data leaves a plant only when your own corporate system pulls it.
The platform
Logins and permissions, certificates, nightly backups, and a local AI assistant that never approves a record.
Works with what you already own
PLC tag lists import straight from 14 vendor export formats, including Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Beckhoff, GE, CODESYS and CNC controllers. ERP, warehouse, maintenance and HR systems connect through V2trace’s own APIs.

The pilot
One line or cell, on modest hardware. We measure these before V2trace goes in, then again after go-live, so the results are your numbers rather than our claims.
Trace time
How long it takes to trace one lot forward and backward.
Scrap, FPY and OEE
Scrap rate, first-pass yield and overall equipment effectiveness on the pilot line.
Paperwork
Hours each week spent on paperwork and audit preparation.
CAPA cycle time
How long a problem takes to go from first anomaly to closed corrective action.
Lost data
How often the line stops recording when the network or a server goes down.
Standards
V2trace models the plant the way ISA-95 does and catalogues 35 standards. Where coverage has actually been checked, it records a signed-off attestation for that release — 12 so far — instead of a blanket claim.
